A Chinese Carved Coral Figural Group of Two Beauties, the elegantly attired figures carved standing upon a flowering prunus branch with frolicking rabbits at their feet, one figure with a bottle vase clasped to her breast with a phoenix amid ruyi clouds above her high chignon, the other figure with a large peach spray, height 8 1/8 in., width 5 7/8 in., mounted on a reticulated carved wood stand, overall height 9 7/8 in. $1000/1500 Provenance: Ex-Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Harry J. Batt, Sr. Note: Harry J. Batt (1900-1977) was the owner of New Orleans landmark, Pontchartrain Beach Amusement Park, as well as a prominent philanthropist.
